Wow, what a great month! Thankyou to all our entrants for your effort and creativity. We had 15 amazing entries with some indulgent and mind-bending combinations of flavours! 

We'd like to offer congratulations to Barbara Kirszman for taking out this month's comp with her 'Mi GorenBurg' - our first ever female winner - yay! Our competition sponsor Gee had a tough job trying to decide out of all the quality entries, but here's what he had to say about the inclusion of the stoner classic 'Mi Goreng' noodles (which proved a popular choice with several entrants!):

"In my opinion, Mi Goreng is the ultimate stoner food, perfect with the egg and sriracha mayo for a bit of heat and pineapples for a bit of sweetness. Pork crackling and bacon make it that extra perfect stoner burger"

This combined two of my favourite munchie options into one glorious moment-burgers and mi goreng with a runny yolk fried egg.

From the bottom:

Mayo and sriracha
Grass fed patty
Gooey Havarti
Cherry wood smoked bacon
Sweet and sour pickles
Grilled pineapple
Mi goreng
Fried egg with a runny yolk
More sriracha mayo
Sprinkling of hot and spicy pork crackling crumbs
All on a brioche bun

It was a mess to eat but it was glorious! Why haven't I done this before?? I'm a changed woman.

Heya stoned folks, here's my entry for the #fbashomeburg comp this month.

BLAZED DONUT
Double smashed Chuck patties, double American Cheese, torched maple bacon marshmallow spread, deep fried pickled jalapeƱos, supreme cheese Doritos, Migoreng Mayo. All stacked on a "Blazed" Grumpy Donut bun.

Yeah so this was weird af. The maple bacon marshmallow was delicious but way too sweet... It's an Italian meringue made with maple syrup and crispy bacon crumbs mixed through. I'll definitely be using the migoreng mayo again, that was good. It's the sauce packets and the powder seasoning from migoreng mixed with mayo, squeeze of lemon juice.

From the bottom:

Peanut butter
Strawberry jam
Banana cooked in butter and brown sugar (and some bacon fat from the pan)
Cherry wood smoked bacon (from Aldi)
Grass fed patty

A sprinkling of nobby's hot and spicy pork crackling crumbs for crunch
All in a brioche bun

I thought this could be a little much but it was delicious. The peanut butter worked really well and the bananas were a great addition (thank you Elvis for the inspiration). The pickles and sriracha cut through the richness and the patty tied everything together. I'll make this again for sure.

I had a couple chicken fillets sitting in a butter milk brine from a few nights ago when I made southern fried chicken in the deep fryer for dinner. I knew they had to be used. I had a brioche bun in the freezer. I had some cabbage and pickles to make a slaw. And some smokey melty cheese.

Unlike my former stoner self that would have been happy with cheese on toast i employed my deep fryer to get to business. I fried these 2 fillets for a few minutes or so and decided what the hell. Let's stack em high. I defy any stoner after a few warmie's to not attack this. I wasn't even ripped and i was bloody impressed with my stupid stoner brain and how it's still making stupid decisions make slightly more sense.

Some Chipotle aioli and and my own spicy flour dredge made this a fun late arvo burg.

Me and my mate have given buttermilk fried chook a go thrice now and have been consistently happy with the results. Super crispy outer with the meat juicy af.

From the ground up this big girl consisted of:
- homemade Big Mac-style sauce
- shredded ice burg lettuce
- Coles smokey cheese
- Chook
- cheese
- dill pickles
- more sauce
Between a toasted Coles brioche bun

Washed her down with an iced coffee and a handful of homemade chippies

This month got me thinking what's everyone's favourite stoner food. Pizza was one of the first things that came to mind. Meatlovers being the best in my opinion. So I tried to make a meatlovers pizza on a burger!

This burg is a homage to the resourcefulness of the stoner when stuck at home with the munchies - let me walk you through this beast:
We've got frozen meat lovers pizza slice at the bottom, double patty, double cheese, bacon, Nutri grain for crunch and because you just can't have a case of the munchies without a) cereal and b) zany flavour combinations
And to top it off a ham and cheese roll because why use regular bread, this bread has extra toppings bro!!

Possibly a little too far this time but it was pretty tasty I enjoyed the nutri grain more than I thought I would.

Evening Fatties, thought it was time to share with you my #fbashomeburg Stoner Month entry. When you think of stoner staple foods you think of Doritos, cheese, donuts, peanut butter or anything with bacon. So with these in mind, I'd like to present to you the SCROLL YOUR OWN!

Fluffy cinnamon scroll bun
Crispy maple glazed streaky bacon
Juicy beef patty
Melty American cheese
Crunchy HASH brown
Dorito encrusted fried cheese sticks
Homemade peanut butter sauce

Wow! The flavour combinations in this burg far exceeded my expectations. With the first bite you're met with the sweetness of that cloud-like cinnamon scroll and the crunchiness of those American cheese sticks and hash brown. The peanut butter sauce offered a hint of saltiness which balanced well with the sweetness of the bun and maple glazed bacon.

This thing is sure to satisfy even the most extreme cases of the munchies. Cheers!
